Golden Girls Pop-Up Restaurant Reservations
A Golden Girls-themed restaurant is opening in NYC. It’s not just for photo-ops: it also offers food and drink.
Each ticket includes a 90-minute reservation, your choice of Golden main and slice of cheesecake (with the option to add on sides, desserts and beverages). Additional events, panels and merch drops will be available throughout the experience.
The Golden Girls Kitchen
The pop-up restaurant, which was inspired by the show’s kitchen, lanai, living room and Blanche’s boudoir, is open for multiple 90-minute seatings each Wednesday, Thursday and Friday as well as Saturday and Sunday. Each ticket includes a Golden Girls-inspired main dish and slice of cheesecake (which can be upgraded to vegan Sperheoven Krispies). Additional sides, drinks and merchandise are available for purchase on site.
The experience is curated by Bucket Listers, whose President of Experiences, Derek Berry, has orchestrated such nostalgic pop-ups as Saved by the Max, Good Burger and Malibu Barbie Cafe. Tickets start at $40 and include a 90-minute reservation, a Golden Girls-inspired entree and a slice of cheesecake. After dinner, guests can sip on cocktails at the Rusty Anchor Bar or capture photos at iconic photo moments like the girls’ cozy kitchen and lanai. The experience also offers a recurring Drag Brunch featuring local performers on the last Sunday of each month.
Shady Pines is a beautiful RV park nestled near two wildlife refuges and offers great lake access for swimming, skiing and fishing. This family friendly community also includes a 55+ manufactured home community for resort style year round living.
Speakeasy bars are all the rage in Melbourne these days, but if you want to visit one that is a bit more down-to-earth, head to Shady Pines Saloon. This hidden gem is a throwback to the wild west, with mounted animal heads, vintage beer trays, dim lighting and Johnny Cash playing on the stereo.
The duo behind Shady Pines Media started out by collaborating on project projects for cheap or free, but soon started hosting events and the community began to grow. Then Covid came along and they were forced to put video production on hold, but not without starting a bold new community radio station that aims to amplify underrepresented music during the pandemic. They are passionate about bringing you the freshest in local artists and creating a platform for creativity.
