If you’re like us, meats and sweets are the among the essentials in life. Get your fix at Meats & Sweets our pop-up diner, for one night only* on Friday, October 26, 2012 from 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm, at Coffee Talk, 3601 Waialae Avenue, in Kaimuki! Don’t worry, we also have some options for you non-carnivorous and sweet-toothed guests as well. As always, Chef Christopher Okuhara and Chef Christopher B. Gee will be using fresh local ingredients in this special menu to usher in the fall season. Halloween is upon us and The Great Pumpkin has made its return in this slow roasted kabocha pumpkin soup with crispy lardons garnished with a yuzu crème fraiche

Our take on the classic sandwich features hand cut Asian inspired home cured bacon, arugula lettuce, mashed avocado, fried green tomatoes, and white cheddar toasted on a thick piece of sourdough bread
CHINESE STYLE BEEF STEW
All day braised beef tendon and beef brisket stewed with a blend of Chinese spices and vegetables

A baked rice dish to fulfill those 2:00 am cravings with pork belly, napa, and kim chi topped with cheese served with our housemade seafood sausage
An assortment of housemade pumpkin crunch, chocolate soda, or Frutti Pebbles doughnuts
